For the past two months, the unfortunately-timed snow has kept the Council from getting together at our usual meeting place. But after two missed meetings, we decided to use our 21st century skills and invite all Council members to an online video meeting. Amazingly, technology was on our side, and we were able to have a successful meeting!
At the meeting, we continued working on our presentation for the February Food for Thought, Talking Back to Hate. We solidified the schedule for the event and the speakers, and I'm happy to say that it's shaping up to be a pretty powerful event. To learn more and to register, click here.
In addition, we talked more about the Cardboard Campout, our big event next month! We're all looking forward to it, and as registrations start to come in, we encourage everyone to continue promoting it through social media and word of mouth. If you haven't registered already, NOW is the time. Go to [email protected] or the Facebook event entitled Cardboard Campout 2014 to learn more and register!
Also, we decided that since we are starting to miss seeing everyone's faces, we will hold a meeting this coming Tuesday, February 18 at Park Road Baptist Church. Hopefully, members of the Council already checked their emails and replied...right, guys?
And lastly, in light of all the snow days, here is a slideshow of our Council Members getting a taste of some real winter weather. Enjoy.
